The portable FireFly cleaner utilizes advanced ionization technology to swiftly and safely remove dust and debris from the sensors of digital SLR cameras, according to Greg Gumkowski, Director, Sales and Marketing for NRD.
"The FireFly uses a Giotto ‘rocket’ air blower bulb to direct a burst of anti-static air onto the sensor," explains Gumkowski. "Once the non-fixed dirt and dust particles lose their electrostatic charge, they simply fall off the sensor."
Convenient and easy to use in the studio or in the field, the Firefly uses no wet methods or brushes that can potentially streak or scratch the protective layer covering the image sensor. Far more effective than existing self-cleaning products, it’s easy to use for beginner, intermediate or seasoned photographers, says Gumkowski.
Powered by a 9-volt battery, the FireFly features a momentary on/off switch, and is only activated during use.
