A Bendable Battery?
Researchers develop bendable battery
It's a battery that looks like a piece of paper and can be bent or twisted, trimmed with scissors or molded into any shape needed.
While the battery is only a prototype a few inches square right now, the researchers at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute who developed it have high hopes for it in electronics and other fields that need smaller, lighter power sources.

Cops say 'NO PICTURES'
Picture This. . . No Pictures
Imagine this. It’s a beautiful sunny summer afternoon and you’re strolling around NYC with two of your closest friends. The light breeze and flowery scents from nearby Central Park are irresistible. You all start clicking away at what’s around you–”Hey there’s the 5th Ave sign,” ..snap.."Look there’s Trump Tower”..snap…”Guys, let’s go shoot the carousel in the park” and . . . that’s where THEY get you. You’re surrounded by them. Cops. They want to see your picture-taking permit and your $1 million liabilty insurance you took out to shoot in Central Park that day with a couple of friends.

Microsoft Works to be Free
Works free but will be ad-driven
With all the hype being gathered up by Microsoft Office 2007, there is a tendency to forget about Microsoft's other office suite known as Microsoft Works.
For many years, Works has been seen by many as the less-expensive, bare-essentials version of Office. While Works has always been a somewhat attractive option due to its low price, competition from OpenOffice and Google Docs & Spreadsheets has forced Microsoft to do something drastic: release Microsoft Works 9.0 for free.
Satya Nadella, Microsoft's corporate vice president of Search & Advertising, recently said that the upcoming release of Works, presumably titled Works 9.0, will definitely be funded by advertisements. A free, ad-driven version of Works has been in Microsoft's plans for some time.

Do-it-yourself high school senior portraits
This is something you may want to read and comment on...
BUDGET PHOTO SECRETS
Do-it-yourself high school senior portraits
By Allie McComas
Recently I was having lunch with a friend whose son is going to be a high school senior this year. We were having a lovely discussion when she said something that made my jaw drop! Now, my jaw only does that on a few occasions. Most of those occasions have to do with price.
Whether it's a "too good to be true" cost of an item or a "you have got to be kidding me" price of an item, my jaw drops the same way: straight down. What did she tell me that was so shocking? The cost of senior pictures!
My friend told me that she was going to spend $500, yes, $500 on her son's senior portraits! I began adding up her costs for these over the years since this is her third child (out of 4). She spent "a little more" on her two daughters' senior portraits.
Okay, am I the only one who thinks the cost of these pictures is ridiculous?
The funny thing is that she said that he doesn't even want to get his picture taken!
She's "making" him do it.
