World's Oldest Camera

World's Oldest Camera Found

Did you hear that the oldest camera was auctioned for almost $ 800,000?

Yep, an 1839 daguerreotype camera, ancestor of modern photography, was recently sold at auction in Vienna for nearly $800,000 making it the world's oldest and most expensive commercial photographic apparatus.

Heck, maybe a lot of us have sold our Hasselblad cameras way too soon - we should have waited until the year 2175! (from Nichols News)

Photoshop CS3's Black & White filter

Adobe Photoshop CS3 has a neat new feature.

It's an adjustment called Black & White and it works quite nicely as an adjustment layer.

What's neat is this new feature gives you a lot more control over black and white images than you ever had by just desaturating or converting an image to grayscale.

Even though I've always been a heavy user of the Channel Mixer, this new feature adds some very nice additional control to image conversion. Read More

Wacom Bamboo

Some of you may know that Wacom revealed the new logo and slick new look of the Intuous 3 at Photoshop World.

Now this was really cool but if you are just a hobbyist and want the power of a tablet but don't want to spend a whole lot of cash.

Then Wacom has also introduced the all new Bamboo, this sleek new product is set to replace the Graphire series and I have to admit this is pretty sweet little device.
